It is both an honor and pleasure to be asked to share my thoughts about the remarkable staff at “Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center”.

After working construction and listening to loud music in my teens and twenties without protection; it was no surprise that I suffered from significant hearing loss beginning in my early 50s. Unfortunately many people like myself don’t realize until too late what it’s like not to be able to hear birds sing, children laugh or your loved ones voice.

Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center was not the first place I sought help but it is certainly the best and will be the only place for me from now on.
10 years ago I was referred to them and I have had nothing but the most informed, respectful and kind treatment ever since.

John and the rest of the staff treat you like family and do everything in their power to provide the finest products and service.

I have recommended them many times and have often wished that friends and family lived in the area so they too could go to John and the rest of the staff.

It frustrates me to hear of people having problems with their hearing aids, it just shouldn’t be that way. Your hearing is too important to not have the best equipment and service available.

Thanks John, for re-opening the world of hearing to me and for keeping me from being in trouble with my wife. The ability to hear clearly is a gift that you should never take for granted.

“I wanted to write to tell you how much I love my Wi hearing aids. They are the closest thing I have found to what my natural hearing used to be! I absolutely love the Loop system I installed in my home! I am hearing television shows better than I have in years. My wife said it had been a long time since she heard me laugh at a TV program. We have set up my hearing aids to use either the telecoil setting or the telecoil loop setting and both work great. I have a lot of trouble with background noise, so we set the telecoil loop setting to shut the microphones off in the hearing aids. On that setting I hear only the TV (or stereo) clearer than I’ve heard it in years! We set the other setting up to hear both the telecoil and the hearing aids, so I can talk with my wife and listen to the TV. Thank you! (My wife says thank you too!) Jim & Terri H.

“As a Minister it is imperative to be able to hear what my people are saying to me. I was finding that it seemed that people were speaking softer and softer as the years went by and as a result I was struggling to understand what they were saying, so much so that ‘would you repeat that,’ or ‘pardon me’ became part of my regular vocabulary. That all changed when Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center offered me a free hearing test! After the test, they put some hearing instruments on me and I inquired what that loud noise I was hearing was. I was told it was the air conditioning vents which I could not hear prior to putting on the hearing aids. I was suddenly able to hear sounds I hadn’t heard in a long time. It was comparable to putting on my first pair of glasses as a child and seeing the shape and distinctive coloring of the leaves on the trees for the first time. My hearing aids are so comfortable to wear that I have at times gone to bed not realizing that I still had them in, and they practically are indistinguishable to the naked eye. When I take them out it is like someone has stuffed cotton in my ears which reinforces the improvement they have made in my hearing. I no longer have to turn the TV volume all the way up. Nancy was right when she said improved hearing brings improved life. If that’s not enough, the service you receive from Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center is the best, bar none. I took my grandmother to Lake Professional to have her hearing tested and it turned out she could benefit greatly from hearing aids. Trisha was amazing. Very soft spoken and clear about all of it. She set her up with a pair of aids to take home and try out for a few days. When we came back and my grandmother decided to purchase a pair she felt lost after returning the loaner aids. I moved to the lake from Illinois a few years ago. My IL audiologist wanted me to find a local audiologist, but because they didn’t happen to carry Phonac hearing aids and equipment there is a $300 charge to make any adjustments. A friend at our new church told me she drives to Camdenton just to be able to use Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center. I went to see them and they were wonderful! The whole staff! This week, I suddenly lost the remainder of my hearing in the ear for which I was using a hearing aid. Within moments of entering the office, Tricia was on the phone trying to get me an emergency appt with an ENT…and she did! This is just one example of how they have helped me over the past 4 years and I’m thrilled to have found them. They are all kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely want to do whatever they can to help you. If your needs are outside their realm of expertise, they will find who you need to help you. You learn a lot about a place when you sit in their waiting room a few minutes, don’t you! Regardless of who is working the office, respect and kindness is given to people who call and people who come in. I so appreciated having found this place.
